Welcome to our "Faux Photos" page!
You may be asking why we would want anything to do with fake paranormal photos or those
that have been mistaken for genuine paranormal anomalies.
Well, when we capture what appear to be anomalies in a photo, we always make an attempt to
eliminate any non-paranormal causes of the anomaly.
We have been experimenting with photos that we have purposely manipulated to produce paranormal-looking anomalies
with non-paranormal causes that could easily be mistaken for the real thing.
These photos may also help eliminate any intentionally faked photos that are claimed to be genuine.
We hope these photos will be helpful for those of you who would maybe like something to compare
your own, or someone else's photos with.
If you wish to use any of these photos for your own testing and comparison, please e-mail us and we'll be happy
to send you any of the photos you want. Note:Many types of film anomalies can be caused by photo developing errors. As soon as we
obtain some examples of this, we'll post them here.
Various Types of Lens Flare
Lens flare is something everyone will encounter sooner or later, no matter how careful
they tend to be. Lens flare isn't just limited to daytime shots, but can also be encountered at
night due to camera flash reflections and other light sources, i.e., street lights, porch lights,
car headlights, etc.
Lens flare can come in any shape, size, and color. We have found that different cameras tend to
produce their own particular type of lens flare.
Below are examples of lens flare using digital cameras. We plan on posting lens flare photos
using a 35mm camera as time permits.

Anomalies Caused by Lens Obstructions
A wide variety of strange and unusual things can show up in pictures from many different
sources, both natural and man-made.
Orb and Vortex Anomalies
Shadow Anomalies
Below are some examples of the old "finger anomaly". In the daytime and under other types of strong light, or
using a flash, a finger will often be flesh-tone in color.
In low light conditions with no artificial light, or using the Sony camera with "nightshot" mode,
a finger will of course appear dark.
Ecto-Clouds/Mists
Below are some photos taken on a cold night while the photographer exhaled. This type
of mishap could very easily be mistaken for ecto.
Bugs and Other Critters
That orb or spot of light that appears to have wings, is it some type of supernatural entity?
Always make sure you take note if there are a lot of insects in the general area.
The below photos are examples of various insects captured in the camera flash.
