On November 10, 2002, we visited 5 cemeteries (all located together within a 3 mile area) in the
mountains above Central City, Colorado.
The elevation of these cemeteries, are at approximately 9,000 feet above sea level, in
the Colorado Rocky mountains.
Little did we know, a snow storm was moving into the area at the time (we should have checked the weather forecast
beforehand!).
About 45 minutes after we arrived at the location, the snow storm hit us.
As the snow and high winds moved in, the temperature quickly fell from the mid 40's°f, to the single digits,
in just a matter of minutes.
The wind-chill dropped to approximately -20°f with the 50+ mph winds.
For about 30-40 minutes afterwards, the storm produced a total "white-out".
Since the visibility was too poor to leave the area, we waited it out, and after the worst of it passed, we managed to
take a few pictures in the bone-chilling cold!
This experience taught us how important it is to always check the weather conditions prior to any ghost hunt,
no matter where it may be!
